Criminal Investigations

The Criminal Investigations Division (CID):

• oversees investigation of all reported crimes in the Sheriff’s Office response area
• works proactive investigations to combat such crimes as:
• • narcotics
  • sexual assaults
  • sexual exploitation of minors
  • human trafficking
  • domestic assaults
  • property crime
  • much more

They collaborate with other divisions, such as Patrol and Crime Reduction. This allows for a comprehensive response to proactively combating crime in Cabarrus County. The division is led by Lieutenant April Samples. The Criminal Investigations Division is comprised of three divisions that work closely together:
